Gran Turismo 7 is in development

It'll come as no surprise, buy Polyphony Digital are hard at work on Gran Turismo 7, although it won't be out this year.

Speaking to Eurogamer at this year's Goodwood Festival,  Polyphony Digital boss Yamauchi said, "We are working on the title, I don't think it'll make this year!"

Yamauchi also added that when it does arrive, he doesn't think it'll be a Prologue, but instead a full version of the game.

One things he did reveal about the game was that when Gran Turismo 7 does come around, the standard car models from 2004's Gran Turismo 4 will most likely feature.

"I doubt that we'll be throwing away the standard cars," said Yamauchi. "Each car has its own fans. So I think we'll hang on to the archive. In the meanwhile, some of those cars we may be able to make into Premium cars as they become available - but basically we're more focussed on increasing the number of premium cars."

Are you excited for Gran Turismo 7 or are you holding out for DriveClub, which does arrive this year at least.

That's a system seller for me. I'm excited for GT7, DriveClub and Project CARS. Can't wait to get my hands on all three!

With Drive Club, Project Cars and now GT, it sure is looking good for racing fans this gen. Though I'm still upset by Road Rash's continued absence :( lol

It's a great time to be a racing fan. Also, if you're missing Road Rash, check out Road Redemption. It's basically a spiritual successor of Road Rash and it comes out this year.

Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out :) Really feel like EA are missing a trick, though!

GT7 is likely to be amazing. Things I would like is create a car, create a track and a large collection of cars. It makes sense to have those features as Gran Turismo 7 could be extended and extended on
