Xbox TV closure won't affect Quantum Break or Halo

It seems that Microsoft's previous focus on Xbox TV content for Xbox One has had a bit of a blow, as Microsoft is closing down its Entertainment Studios.

The Xbox One manufacturer said yesterday that it is cancelling plans to create original TV content for the Xbox One, although Quantum Break, Remedy’s ambitious TV and game hybrid, will still be safe.

“The news of Xbox Entertainment Studios has not impacted our progress and we’re excited to share more details of Quantum Break at Gamescom in August,” said a Remedy spokes person when asked if the project had been canned.

Microsoft is closing the Entertainment Studios as part of its cost-cutting measures which includes laying off over 18,000 staff. However, some TV projects already at various stages of development including the Halo TV series, will be completed.

This is annoying as this was one of the major reasons why I bought the Xbox ONE. I love TV as much as gaming.
