Disney Infinity 2.0 arrives in September

We were expecting a November release, if we're honest, but it seems that Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Superheroes will be released in September.

The release date for North American retailers is Tuesday, September 23, 2014, so we are presuming that the European release will arrive later that same week.

The sequel introduces all new super-powered Marvel Play Sets and characters that players can experience exclusively inside of the new version of the game. The popular Toy Box mode also returns with enhanced features where users can create their own adventures and share them online with friends.

Additionally, in the U.S at least, Disney has announced the official launch of its pre-order program. Starting today through September 22, as a bonus for pre-ordering the Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes Starter Pack, consumers will receive a Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel figure (valued at $13.99) for free.

We've no idea if this excellent deal will spread over to Europe, but we sure hope so.

They have the offer on Zavvi. I like the look of the special edition, not for the game but because I like Marvel.

Surprisingly, they are also running the offer on G4me as well :)! In fact base.com is already taking pre-orders for the PS3/4 Collector's edition too!? Was going to get that one but £130 seems a little too steep for that edition! Would love to get that edition though! Amazon, last I checked, wasn't running the offer. Guess they will lose out on the business then! I was going to pre-order the game but I just don't know which system to get it for, either PS4, Xbox One or Wii U; just can't make up my mind! What would have swayed me to pre-order it as well, is if you were to get two extra characters; I would want Hawkeye and Iron Fist. They seem coolest from the initial bunch :)! Tut, tut, tut ShopTo, your pre-order prices aren't in line with other online retailers at all :)!
