Seriously!? And Sony say the new EA service is poor value for money!? Hahaha! No thanks, you'd be better off keeping the PS3 and picking up the games second hand if you're that desperate to play old games!

3 dollars for 4 hours, that's criminal, thought it was gonna be a subscription and you can choose any game

To be fair, the 4 hour one will only be for people who want the quick games to get the quick trophys. But yeah, they need a subscription in there, and they need to sort out the EA thing in it too. The list of games is also very underwhelming. Darksiders, Metal Gear Solids and then what? Most of the games are ones you wouldn't even rent for $1.

If it is play as many games as you like for those prices then it would be worth it - it says "jump in and out of game worlds", but it is definitely not worth it for 1 game. You could rent a game for 90 days and then be finished with it in a week. In an unlimited disc rental service you could return the game, and then get sent another, within the same monthly fee. The 4 hour period can also be risky, if your internet goes down for hours you may lose the chance to play the game, but if they can tell you are connected and streaming for the 4 hours, and the time only count downs when you are connected and streaming then that would be something.

He!!!He!!!He!!! The hits just keep on comin from our buddies at Sony dont they??? I wonder if I could rent the last of us ! ) I read somewhere that this is launching with PS3 titles and then maybe after the first year or so they MAY consider adding PSX and PS2 titles (for me surely these are the games I would really want to play again rite???) seems theyve missed the boat.

I doubt it Hymeleon but it could happen i suppose. I agree with yo inspector I was looking forward to this for the older PS2/1 games though if it is anything like the PS3 with the classic PS1 games we probaably would never see them over here.

" It's a beta, prices could be a placeholders and/or subject to change..." - Correct. In fact, prices have already started to be lowered according to reports. Clearly this isn't the pricing structure the final release will end up having.
