The Evil Within to get season pass

Bethedsa has today announced that it'll be offering a Season Pass for The Evil Within, the upcoming survival horror game from director, Shinji Mikami.

The Evil Within Season Pass will allow you to experience survival horror from a new perspective. In the first add-on, assume the role of The Keeper (aka Boxman) in a sadistic collection of mission-based maps. The second and third add-ons take you further down a path of madness in a two-part, story-driven experience in the role of Juli Kidman -- Sebastian Castellanos' mysterious partner from The Evil Within.

Priced at £14.99 / €19.99 / AUS$25.95, the Season Pass offers savings on three planned add-ons for the game and will be available soon via PSN and Xbox LIVE.

The Evil Within releases on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC on Tuesday, October 14th in North America and Friday, October 17th in Europe.

You can pre-order below.

That's a bit steep, will have to see what the games like, but I'm hoping this is going to be good.

Not a big fan of announcing season passes before the game is out these should be announced a little time before the first DLC is out

The pricing isn't that steep. All that remains is to see if the game is any good

anohter game, another season pass and yeah i agree Bindiana it annoys me if the DLC is already made then why not ship it with the game? best game to DLC so far (that i know of) is plants vs zomibes garden warfare where all DLC is free, now thats how ya do DLC.

I agree. I know that once a certain groups work is done they start working on extra content but announcing a Season Pass before release just make it seem like less value to some people

One of the best pieces of DLC is Artorias of the Abyss. Most of the time DLC can't just be inserted into the game since it needs to go down the 'product line' if you will. They could insert this DLC into the game but that would me delaying it for a few more months

Doesn't really matter at the end of the day, dlc is optional, no one forces you to buy it. You'll still get the full game as it was originally intended at the normal price of a full game. If you want extras you'll have to pay extra

It is however commendable for games like PvZ GW and others like Soul Sacrifice & Dragon's Crown which give loads (if not all) of dlc for free

Agreed. If you don't like it just buy the game and leave the DLC alone, but if you want the DLC but feel like it should be included then wait for a £15 discount on the game before buying it

with the exception of dead space 3, if you had not purchased awakening then you missed the end of the game as awakening was the ending

Tempted to get this now with Dragon Age and Evolve being delayed. I dont mind season passes as it is good to know sometimes how much a game will be supported after launch and if it will be single or multiplayer. Didnt know that about Dead Space 3 will have to pick it up at some point to play the DLC then, though I did think the ending was all right.
