PS4 SharePlay has 60 minute limit per session

Sony has confirmed to Gamespot that its new Share Play feature, which is coming soon in the PlayStation 4's 2.0 system update, which be restricted to a 60-minute time limit.

Following a report by French site Gameblog, Sony has confirmed with GameSpot that Share Play users will be limited to 60 minutes per session, although there's nothing to stop you from jumping back in again once the time limit is up.

Share Play was pitched by Sony as a "virtual couch" that allows for "an online local co-op experience." A PlayStation Plus member can share a game over the Internet with a friend, who can take control to either help the other player get past a tricky level or play along in co-op mode.

We're guessing the limit is due to a publisher restriction, after all, they still want people who don't own their games to purchase them at some point.

SCE Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida said in a recent interview that this feature works with all PS4 games that use a DualShock 4.

Are you excited for SharePlay?

Sony really need to implement something so trophies can't be earned in a ps4 share play session or it will consist of other players charging people to earn trophies.

Didn't the Far Cry 4 trailer say 2 hours? Does that mean Developers can increase/decrease this time as they wish?
