Resident Evil: Revelations 2 in the works?

Resident Evil: Revelations may be getting a sequel, if leaked assets on are anything to go by.

The official Xbox site has images for a cover and a screenshot of "Biohazard: Revelations 2" - Biohazard being the Japanese name for Resident Evil. There have long been rumours of a Resident Evil exclusive for Xbox - could this be it?

It seems unlikely that Microsoft would secure an exclusive for Xbox 360 in Japan since it's not really setting the world on fire, however if this was to be released for Xbox One as well, then people may take notice.

That's just a little bit of speculation from us anyway. Resident Evil: Revelations was originally released for 3DS in 2012, but an HD version of it arrived on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC last year, so it's likely that a sequel would appear on all formats.

Capcom's already announced that the original Resident Evil's 2002 Gamecube remake is being remade again for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Look out for more on Resident Evil: Revelations 2 soon.

Been rumours about this going around for a while, should be good, Revelations was the best RE since 4.

Never played the first one. If Microsoft get it for a timed exclusive then I am done with them and not buying an Xbone till the generation is over

Reasoning being they would be more interested in buying exclusive titles from a 3rd than making their own

I can remember those rumours about RE7 being Xbox exclusive, but this being exclusive to it instead would almost make more sense. Capcom would lose far too much money in not releasing a 'mainline' RE on Playstation (As they've learned the hard way in the past), but in giving MS a sequel to a spinoff few cared about initially as an exclusive they get to have their cake and eat it. Big enough moneyhat should help Capcom stave off bankruptcy for another year or so.

I hope it is true as I really enjoyed Revelations, though I would still like it t have a main character other than Chris, Jill or Leon.
