Latest Charts, w/e Aug 31: Metro Redux takes top spot


This week's latest charts are in, showing Metro Redux as the top selling game for the week.

It's great to see such an underrated series make the top spot on its return and it all means that publisher Deep Silver has grabbed its first number one of the year.

Another re-release, Diablo III: Reaper of Souls Ultimate Evil Edition has dropped to second place, while Sony’s The Last of Us Remastered to falls to number three.

Do you see a trend here? All the titles in the top three are remasters. How about that?

Unsurprising, Metro was a well priced release(Especially compared to Diablo 3). Summer dry spell is probably done now though, once Destiny comes out next week it starts off a pretty solid run of new releases for the rest of the year on the new consoles, so re-release titles are going to have a much harder time selling from now on.

Metro would have sold well when ever it was release with that price point, the other two are varying levels of debatable
