The Football Manager Documentary to screen at VUE Cinemas on October 7

Sports Interactive has announced that An Alternative Reality: The Football Manager Documentary will make its debut on Tuesday, October 7th for one night only – at a minimum of 26 Vue cinemas throughout the UK.

The screening is currently confirmed for 26 Vue cinemas across the UK, but it's possible that it may also be screened in even more of Vue's UK venues, depending on popular demand. So any fans who would like to have the film screened at their local Vue cinema can take part in a unique crowdsourcing campaign in order to get in shown. So show your support through the Football Manager website and social media and Vue will make a call.

If that doesn't work, though, after the screening the film will be made available globally for download and streaming.

"The documentary isn't our story - it's the story of the people who escape to the alternative reality of being a football manager, and the effect this has had on their lives," said Sports Interactive chief Miles Jacobson.

"It's also the story of how a computer game made by football fans has become a part of the world it set out to replicate.

"But it's not just for people who play - it's also for people who've ever wondered why others spend so much time escaping into this world."

After the Vue screenings another short film will be shown that reveals Football Manager 2015's major new features.

Here's the list of Vue cinemas with a confirmed screening on Tuesday, 7th October 2014:

Recently just started playing FM, bit overwhelming at first but it's pretty fun! always been curious as to why the franchise has had a passionate following. I'm considering going to the cinema to watch it, should be quite interesting. Thanks for posting :)

I would go and see this, but Miles Jacobsen has to be the most tedious speaker ever. Wouldn't enjoy it. Love FM though. Think the least I've spent on a version since CM00/01 was 500 hours.
