Nintendo is 125 years old today

Nintendo is an amazing 125 years old today.

The business was first started as a playing card company by a Japanese entrepreneur named Fusajiro Yamauchi and this remained the case until the 1950s. His grandson, Hiroshi Yamauchi then expanded, before later collaborating with the likes of Gunpei Yokei and Shigeru Miyamoto to create the video game giant that we know today.

What we have today is the Wii U and 3DS, however there have been plenty of legendary systems from the company, such as the NES, SNES, Gamecube, Gameboy and of course, the Wii.

And that's not even mentioning the games - yes Mario we mean you.

In the future Nintendo plans to focus on toys via its amiibo range and its new section of the business dedicated to health.

So what has been your favourite system from Nintendo over the years? Oh and before we forget, Happy Birthday Nintendo.

For me it has to be the NES and SNES some great games on both with Mario Kart being one of my favourites. I have owned every one of there consoles up until the Wii. Best games on the N64 and GameCube were Zelda and the Resident Evil.

Too hard to choose between N64 and Gamecube for me, N64 had Rare at their best and the Gamecube had some stunning third party support.
