Japanese Charts, Sep 22 - 28: Super Smash Bros remains top of the charts

This week's latest Japanese charts are in, showing Super Smash Bros as the number one game once more as it gets close to breaching 1.5 million sales.

There was a little competition from at PS Vita game, as The Legend of Heroes came in at number two, selling over 86,000 units, while another PS Vita title, DanganRonpa came in at number three, selling over 70,000 units. If only Sony's Vita could do so well here.

As for hardware, well Xbox One sales fell again, while PS4 sales also dropped slightly. 3DS was the top selling hardware as usual, once again followed by PS Vita which continues to sell double figures.

Here's the charts.

Bayonetta 2 really has been a massive flop even with all the obvious provisions taken into account.

Might not sound like a lot, but that is around the level those Zero games debut at apparently. Must just not be a very big series over there... which makes Nintendo's refusal to give the West the last game all the more baffling really.

I'll second that... I've always enjoyed the Project Zero games so will be a shame to miss out.. I ended up using the English patch on the Wii version .. I am a hoping Bayonetta 2 is good as my Wii U is just gathering dust now.

Was just reading on Miiverse, the reason for the drop off on Smash Bros sales is due to lack of stock, apparently the game's sold out everywhere.

Please describe the nature of the abuse:
