Sony release a Firmware update that, add's theme to Vita and now Nintendo does the same for 3DS. Hopefully Sony will release a Firmware that, allow true Region free to Vita (Using DLC and Game from other Region) and then let's hope Nintendo follows

Dashboard themes aren't exactly a new thing, and Nintendo announced this a while back, it's not really a case of anyone copying someone else. It's a nice update though, allows you to expand the grid size/shrink the icons to fit more on than you could previously. Dob't think I'll be bothering with any themes though, at £1.79 a pop they are a bit steep.

"and Nintendo announced this a while back," - When did they announce it?

Same time as the new 3DS.

As I recall the new 3DS was announced several weeks after Gamescom... which was where the new Vita firmware with themes was detailed. I can see where Artemis was coming from, the timing is certainly funny.

Either way dashboard themes are nothing new, and if you want to say Nintendo are copying Sony then you may as well say Sony were copying whoever implemented them before that, probably Microsoft.

PS3 had the ability to use dashboard themes before the 360 did though, and the OG Xbox didn't have themes at all, so probably not.

That would have been hard, seeing as the 360 released first, and had themes at release.

Was going to say the 360 had themes from the start I used the wooden one but you also got the ones fro the Darkness and so on.

I think I was probably thinking of custom themes. My mistake.

Had custom themes too, you could use your own photos .

Using the photos wasn't the best though. I still think I preferred the blades over some of the other dashboard updates.

Sony copied Microsoft. Windows had the ability to use Themes long before the PS3 was even an idea. Microsoft also copied (Insert name here) Bottom line is, who cares who copied who?

They all copy cavemen as they used to have themes on the cave walls. Usually just stick men but still themes.
