Im so happy this has come! Been excited for this update for a while now! I dont know if im missing anything but there appears to be no themes with the launch of this update? Just the ability to change the colour of the theme you currently have. You could have given us at least ONE, playstation!

Think it is only colour scheme initially. Personally not fussed, a change of colour is nice to see

It seems the update is messing with logging into Destiny as a lot of reports of people not being able to sign in.

The new 2.0 "Rest mode" (old standby mode) is broken. Don't use it until a FW update fix is released. Once it goes into standby it will not wake up again & the system completely locks up. Only way to switch it back on/off is to remove AC power cable. If it doesn't then damage your HDD then it'll rebuild the HDD database & restart again & should be working OK again but it's not worth the risk of damage.

I've had mine in and out of rest mode 3 times today. No issues. It's slower going into standby as it displays on the screen what it's doing but no lock ups. Might be just your machine?

It doesn't seem to be a global issue by the looks of it but there are several people reporting it happening to them. Happened to me only a few minutes before I heard the complaints. So I rushed to my PS4 to try & switch it on only to find that it wouldn't respond. Looks like it may possibly be if you switch it into rest mode yourself through holding down the PlayStation button but I wouldn't risk trying it yourself unless you don't mind the off chance of it corrupting the HDD.

Oh bugger, I just put mine into rest mode, guess I'll find out next time I try start it up if it's got the same problem. A bit late for me now but thanks for the heads up anyway. When I did the update though and it restarted itself it came up with a message on-screen saying it was 'rebuilding the database' so I suppose that's not a good sign. Only to be expected though because Sony never update anything without totally cocking something up. The Playstation Store on PS3 is a prime example. That's been hopeless ever since they changed it and they still haven't fixed it to this day. I'll never understand why they take so long to do things and even then they can't actually test them properly before they release them! Don't they have a QA department that actually tests updates on the system they are being released on? If they did they would see these problems straight away.

well mie, as I do every day, I hold the PS butotn on the pad - press the option for sleep/rest mode and then turn off the tv - then turn it back on by pressing the PS button on the pad. done that 5 times throughout the day and even turned it on and off once with the vita when I was remoting before to see if the update fixed the connection issues i was having (it did). Remote play is great so far. just had a play around with a mate on my Samurai warriors 4 and Trials and his UFC and Octodad. His mate coulnd't connect due to 'low internet speeds' but fine for us, i'm on 5MB down and 3MB up(50Mbits / 30Mbits) an his mate was on a standard 800KB down, 300KB up (8Mbits / 3Mbits)
