Evolution gives new update on DriveClub

Evolution has released a new statement on DriveClub, saying that it has today released another server update as it continues to optimise the game.

"We know we have been quiet over the last few days which was because we wanted to offer you news when it has a meaningful impact on your experience of DriveClub. The feedback you offered has been invaluable to the team because it’s informed our updates to iron out the major issues affecting you as quickly as possible.

"Our diagnostics show the majority of you are now able to get online and racing. This increased stability has meant that statistics and accolades are updating efficiently now, so hopefully you have been having fun boosting your fame and watching how you compare to your friends and other racers around the world.

"Today we also released a server update to optimise multiplayer matchmaking so you will now be matched with more suitable players based on the type of internet connection you have, which means matchmaking should be more reliable. This update will also fix some bugs we had with clubs where some players couldn't join or leave a club.

The studio then went on to say that yet another update should be released this week.

"Improvements continue to be made to the servers and our next significant game update will be released this week. This will boost connectivity and provide a better overall experience.
Thanks for your support and we will provide more news as soon as we have it."

There is still no mention of the PlayStation Plus Edition, but we'd hope to hear something on this soon.

PS+ members have been treated abysmally with this game. I hope Sony and Evolution are going to do the right thing and compensate us properly for this farce. PS+ isn't free after all, we do pay plenty for it and expect something decent in return. We aren't all fans of poxy FPS games Sony!!

This has been a joke. Three weeks now and it's still not working optimally. The PS+ version is not even being mentioned. They had an extra year to get this game ready and they still haven't been able to meet the deadline.

This is an extra game, not one of the 6 PS+ games we normally get. Maybe if you aren't a fan of poxy FPS games you should give Dust a shotl. It is one of the free* PS+ games you get this month.

Priority has to be given to those people who payed for the game not the ps+ masses who want to play it that would totally screw up an already broken game.it getting close to Christmas so all ps+ members know what to ask Santa for now don't they

@DynamiteWhyte : I've already finished Dust. That was fun and the best free game for many many months, but one decent game doesn't make up for the fact that Sony promised us we would definitely get Driveclub at the launch of PS4 and it's now a year later. Also the majority of PS+ games now seem to be Vita games. As I don't own a Vita, and never will, they hold no interest for me whatsoever. I don't pay my subscription to fund Vita owners thanks very much. If they are putting 6 PS+ games on each month ( although that doesn't happen, some months PS4 gets nothing at all) they should have the same number of games on each format and of equal quality i.e. 1 AAA title in each format and one lesser game like Dust. etc. so players with each system all get something comparable. For months now all the best games have been on Vita. I don't know if Sony are just pandering to Vita owner's or they are just cheaper for them to give away. Either way it's unfair on PS+ members who only have PS3 or PS4 and want games for those systems.
