EA dates Battlefield Hardline; Battlefront coming 'Holiday 2015'

EA has given rough dates for some of its biggest upcoming games, revealing that Battlefield Hardline will arrive on March 20 in the UK, while also letting us know that Star Wars Battlefront will arrive in Holiday 2015.

That's not all, as it seems we'll also be getting another new Battlefield game in Holiday 2016.

EA announced the dates during the financial Q2 FY15 call to investors, with EA CFO Blake Jorgensen saying, “This allows us to have a major first-person shooter title each year.”

For the quarter ended September 30, 2014 EA said it was the number one publisher on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles in the Western World, with FIFA 15, NHL 15, Madden NFL 15, EA Sports UFC, Titanfall, Battlefield 4 and FIFA 14 helping it to get there.

Apparently EA Access, which is only on Xbox One at the moment is also “exceeded expectations,” according to Jorgensen.

For the quarter, net revenue of $1.22 billion was reported with net revenue for FIFA, Madden NFL and Hockey Ultimate Team collectively up 96% year-over-year. So it seems EA is doing pretty well at the moment.
