LittleBigPlanet 3 Review round up

LittleBigPlanet 3 is getting some pretty great reviews ahead of its release next week. We'll be reviewing the game in time for its arrival, but in the meantime here's what a selection of the other critics who liked the game have to say.

LittleBigPlanet 3 Review Round up

CVG - 9/10

LittleBigPlanet 3 is undoubtedly the best entry in the series.

Game Informer - 8.5/10

LittleBigPlanet 3 is a strong showing for Sackboy and company, but one that points to the fact that - unlike Nintendo's Mario, who's been reinvented many times over the years - this series' future is likely to follow the arc of another Sony platformer, Ratchet & Clank, by settling into a comfortable groove.

Joystiq - 4.5/5

The Adventure mode at the center of LittleBigPlanet 3 is a grand showcase of bold imagination like nothing else out there, with a wellspring of charm and warm-natured humor at its heart. Even so, Sumo Digital's brief 4-5 hours of polished, pre-made contributions pale in comparison to what could be – but that's essentially the point.

The SixthAxis - 8/10

The story might not explore all of the potential, but briefly shines a light on what the new possibilities might be for those making their own levels. The wide array of new tools, the removal of limitations and addition of new characters and power-ups will all serve to empower the community to reach new heights.

US Gamer - 10/10

A tricky and challenging single-player game, joyously mad multiplayer action, and an incredibly in-depth creator mode combine to deliver what is without doubt, the best LittleBigPlanet game yet. Wonderful stuff.

There are some critics who either don't seem to get LittleBigPlanet 3 or don't like it at all, you can see all the reviews here as the above is just our favourite quotes from those who seem to be thinking along the same line as us.

We'd imagine you'll already know if this game is for you or not.

You can pre-order LittleBigPlanet 3 below.

Worth noting that the only negative listed on that IGN review was "game breaking bugs"... game breaking bugs which no one else seems to be encountering. IGN were also happy to ignore game breaking bugs in other recent games like Assassin's Creed Unity, so there's definitely something suspect about that LBP3 review of theirs.

Regardless, seems like another great entry in the series. Will be picking it up day one.

I saw a few other sites mention the bugs with loads of freezing and things like that. I know Eurogamer mentioned them. Hopefully they will be fixed in time for next week.

#1 IGN has a number of people review the games, it won't always be consistent. #2 Maybe whoever reviewed it didn't run into any bugs, by luck or by playing offline. #3 It's also up to the person writing the review to decided if the bugs subtract from the experiance
