Expect 12 world premieres at The Game Awards this Friday

There will be more than 12 world premieres during Friday's The Video Game Awards. The news comes via, host Geoff Keighley who was speaking during a Twitch stream.

Keighley said of the 12, not all will be "world level, megaton breaking announcements," but did admit that there will be some "cool announcements" and also "really meaningful updates" on titles set to release in 2015.

We suspect world premieres doesn't necessarily means new games, but could mean new trailers, gameplay etc. Although Keighley did make mention of one game which sounds interesting, saying, "I reviewed something today which is kind of a out of the left field announcement, which I wasn't sure of how big it was gonna be, but I saw the assets and I’m like 'wow, people are gonna go crazy for this.'"

What could that be? We'll find out soon hopefully.

now that this is competing with VGX for trailers and announcements, its another thing publishers need to prepare for which isnt good at this time of year, personally imo VGX was enough

No, Spike have supported the creation of the new one but they are still different names, Just read that their is no comment on whether a VGX will happen , so your probably right Joe, as if their was gonna be one we would probably know by now
