Assassin's Creed: Victory outed; Ubisoft confirms its existence

The next Assassin's Creed, known as Assassin's Creed: Victory, leaked last night and Ubisoft immediately confirmed its existence.

Kotaku was the source of the leak after it got hold of some early assets. The game will be set in London, England and is produced on the series engine, Anvil. The sites says that the video it saw shows and an assassin looking over the alleyways of London before accepting and completing a mission. During the missions the assassin can be seen swapping his hood for a top hat before blending with crowds. There is also a new grappling hook tool that he uses to get to higher points.

“It is always unfortunate when internal assets, not intended for public consumption, are leaked," said Ubisoft in a statement, "And, while we certainly welcome anticipation for all of our upcoming titles, we’re disappointed for our fans, and our development team, that this conceptual asset is now public.

“The team in our Quebec studio has been hard at work on the particular game in question for the past few years, and we’re excited to officially unveil what the studio has been working on at a later date,” Ubisoft continued.

“In the meantime, our number one priority is enhancing the experience of Assassin’s Creed Unity for players.”

Assassin's Creed: Victory is in development for PS4, Xbox One and PC. It'll apparently be the only Assassin's Creed game to launch next year.

nice - i'll be getting this - with the season pass - just in case ;) - hopefully there wont be as many NPC's - even before the patch, the areas with less NPC's ran perfectly on the PS4 FPS wise

I do feel Assassins Creed need to cut back to a game every other year maybe a rotation with watchdogs as the amount of assassins games is becoming ridiculous and gives them chance to fully complete the game then risk bringing out another buggy game like this year.

Every year a new game is announced, each with them telling us they've been working on it for years. Yet every year it flops with a ton of issues, is short, and of poor quality. Don't expect much from this.
