Latest Assassin's Creed: Unity patch rolling out now *update*

Update: The previously delayed patch for Assassin's Creed: Unity is being rolled out now and is a whopping 6.5GB download.

Patch 4 delivers a variety fixes including:

- Performance & Stability: Frame rate drops, game crashes, lost progression
- Gameplay: Navigation, lock picking chests
- Online: Connectivity, matchmaking, companion app

Original: Ubisoft has delayed the release of the next major patch for Assassin's Creed: Unity.

"Rigorous quality control is of paramount importance to us, and your feedback over these past weeks has indicated that it is important to you as well," Ubisoft said on its website.

"As stated last week, we'd expected to release the patch today (and we know that many are anticipating its release), but we are choosing to hold off until we can give you the improvements we've promised.

"We are committed to delivering major performance improvements, which requires that we refurbish the Paris map and that will take a few more days to hit the high level of quality our players deserve.

"Thank you very much for your understanding and continued patience."

The PR from Ubisoft is embarrassing. The fact they don't even try to hide the fact they consider their customers morons. These pedantic comments like "Rigorous quality control is of paramount importance to us" are hysterical that they have the nerve to say that considering the state of almost every single title they've released, at least this year maybe even last year also. Their games are unquestionably releasing in a worse & worse state each release & they are making absolutely no effort at all to reverse that. It's crazy!

I've only played the game for about 5-10 hours doing mainly side mission stuff and playing with Companion App. Through that time I haven't had any issues with any of it. The Companion App reset my data but I just signed back in to Uplay and everything was fine again, did I just get really lucky?

I fired up the PS4 late last night and it downloaded the 6.5gb patch. I must say, unless it's the placebo effect, it definitely runs a lot smoother now and doesn't seem to be constantly 'chugging' anymore. Again, other than the low frame rate prior to this patch, I had no other issues to speak of but I held off playing it again before this patch was released.

and after all that the game still has framerate issues... its absolutely pathetic. ubisoft needs to go bankrupt and close down after the way they insult their customer base. im never buying a ubisoft game again ive had enough
