Sony Computer Entertainment has issued a press release announcing that the launch of the PS4 and the PlayStation Vita in China, originally scheduled for January 11th, has been postponed.
There is no word as to the reason for the delay other than it being "due to various circumstances,” which seems a little odd.
We're guessing that the Chinese authorities must have saw something they didn't like and made Sony postpone until things are worked out, though that is just a guess. Still, Sony promises that it remains committed to continue working to release the consoles in China at a later date.
Either way it's a bit strange for two consoles to be delayed three days before launch.
