Shadow Realms canned *update*

Update: Bioware has decided to can work on Shadow Realms, its 4vs1 multiplayer game which we reported on as coming to PS4 and Xbox One below.

It sounded quite promising at one point, however it seems Bioware Austin has decided to focus its efforts elsewhere.

"We’ve made the decision to not move forward with development of Shadow Realms," says a blog post.

"While the team did amazing work on the game concept and we got lots of great feedback from our fans at events and through other game testing, right now there are other projects for the team to work on within the BioWare studios for the coming year and beyond."

So there we have it.

Original: Shadow Realms, the 4v1 BioWare Austin multiplayer game which is being developed by Bioware Austin, may now be coming to PS4 and Xbox One.

The game was due for 2015, however Kotaku's reporting that it has been re-evaluated and will now become an altogether more robust title. This means a bigger budget and release on the two home consoles. Although this also means a new release date of 2017.

Shadow Realms was due to be free to play, but we are guessing this will no longer be the case.

In the blog, they actually state their main focus will be SWTOR due to Star Wars being "massive" this year. Shame, as I would have bought this, but I do not plan on putting any more money into SWTOR, especially when Battlefront is being released. SWTOR is so much more limited than SWG was, and I miss the original Star Wars era stuff. R2 droids never get old, but T7 droids do. I will buy Mass effect and an expansion to DAI if one gets released.

Please describe the nature of the abuse:
