Robotoki shutters, puts Human Element on hiatus

Robotoki, the studio set up three years ago by former Infinity Ward member Robert Bowling, is to close.

It was working on a game known as Human Element, which just a few months ago was confirmed for a 2015 release on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Unfortunately for the studio, the game seems to have come to a halt, thanks to mostly to a lack of funding.

"This week we have ceased operations at Robotoki and the development of Human Element is on hiatus. We were actively negotiating a new publishing deal for the premium version of Human Element but unfortunately I was unable to continue to self-fund development until a deal was finalized."

Human Element was pitched as a survival MMO, with zombies and to be fair, it looked pretty bad in the footage shown. Will a publisher set into rescue it, we're not so sure. Hopefully those out of a job find some luck though as it's never nice to see such news.
