Windows 10 to offer cross-play/streaming with Xbox One

Microsoft has revealed that universal Windows apps will hit Xbox One with the arrival of Windows 10.

"With Windows 10, universal Windows apps come to Xbox One," Microsoft's head of Windows division Terry Myerson.

There was more news too, as Phil Spencer revealed a new Xbox app for PC and Tablets which allows you to share clips with friends across all Microsoft platforms. You can also use Windows 10 to record Game DVR clips from Steam.

Microsoft also showed that Direct X 12 will get more graphic horsepower out of the same hardware than Direct X 11. Epic Games and Unity were named as two of the developers currently using Direct X12.

Fable Legends was also announced for PC and what's more, it will have cross-play with Xbox One, allowing players on both platforms to play together.

Another announcement was that you'll be able to stream any Xbox One game to PC or Tablet when Windows 10 is released.
