Nintendo Wii U sales reach 9.2 million worldwide

Nintendo has announced that their Wii U Console (remember what that is?) has sold 9.2 million units since it's launch in November 2012.

The console reached that number by the end of Nintendo's fiscal year which ended on December 31st last year. A total of 3.03 million Wii U consoles were sold during that period.

Software sales for the Wii U come in at 52.87 million units, with most of the sales coming from Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U which have sold 4.77 million and 3.39 million copies. 

The Nintendo 3DS console sales have reached 50.41 million units, with software sales at 215.96 million as of December 31, 2014.

Unfair comment towards Nintendo, brilliant console and they had a great 2014. Hopefully the momentum carries on and we shall see some more great games.

If the premium hits the £150 mark I'll pick one up, interested in the new Zelda game at least, maybe X, think there were 1 or 2 others that caught my interest
