Destiny to get more new content later this year

Activision revealed during its earnings call last night that the upcoming House of Wolves DLC will not be the only new content coming to Destiny this year.

“We have a second [Destiny] expansion on the way, and a major content release coming in the fall," CEO Eric Hirshberg said, "And a very robust pipeline planned after that."

There are rumours as to what this could be, since an image leaked showing something called Plague of Darkness which is rumoured to be a large DLC expansion that will be sold on disc as well as digitally. It'll apparently be larger than both The Dark Below and House of Wolves put together, but we'll likely not find out more about that until E3.

Are you still playing Destiny? Does new content excite you?

well I'm glad the plague of darkness has basically been confirmed now, basically the size of destiny itself so that'll keep me busy over the Christmas

Well personally for me I won't be playing after house of wolves (as I bought the edition that comes with the first dlc so I'm getting it anyway). Destiny has become a repetitive game that feels more like a chore to me now than a fun mode of relaxation. It definitely has it's merits but seeing as how crotas DLC and house of wolves DLC both retailed at around £20 individually the one that comes late in the year will probably be at least £35 and personally for me it won't be worth money. I don't speak for everyone, but more than a minority I would say.

DLC pricing for Destiny is total garbage.
