Playtonic Games working on Banjo and Kazooie successor

Playtonic Games, a new UK-based studio formed of veteran Rare developers, is currently developing what it describes as a "worthy spiritual successor to those fondly remembered platforming adventures we built in the past," i.e games such as Banjo and Kazooie.

The game is currently titled 'Project Ukulele' and is described as a platformer, although that's all we know at this time.

"We've got the bloke who programmed Donkey Kong Country, the character designer behind Banjo and Kazooie, and the artist who made your console fit to burst with lavish environments across a decade's worth of adventure games," the developer says.

There are currently no platforms confirmed, although the developer has its eye on at least Steam Greenlight and possibly the Wii U too.
