Project Cars delayed until April 2

Slightly Mad Studios and Bandai Namco Games Europe today confirmed that Project Cars has been delayed until April 2nd 2015. The slight shift of the release date is due to final adjustments in the game, that are required to provide to the fans with the best gaming experience they could have.

“Moving a release date was not an easy decision to make, as we know our fans are eager to get their hands-on on Project CARS”, said Ian Bell, Head of Studio at Slightly Mad Studios. “But we know that these extra days will allow us to provide the best game experience that our fans deserve. We assure you the wait will be worth it when the game does arrive early April”.

You can pre-order below.

I'm either going to be getting this or Drive Club, As I want a racing game to play on the PS4, Hopefully either of them are better then Forza 5 as that game didn't have a dynamic weather system so all the races where in broad daylight (Which soon got old) and then there's the issue that Forza 5 has a big shortage of tracks and cars compared to past Forza games, So I'm hoping that either Project Cars or Drive Club has dynamic weather and a ton of tracks and cars unlike Forza 5.

A delay is a good thing for all games or would you rather have a broken/buggy game on release?

Or delays end up turning a great game 10+ years ago into a mediocre game by today's standards (Duke Nukem Forever)

I've been in the PC beta for this title and it doesn't surprise me that it now has a 3rd delay. Of course it would be unfair to judge the full game from what I've played in the beta but it's had so many little niggles that I've felt for a while now that it won't live up to some of the hype it's receiving. By no means do I think it will be a bad game but I'm pretty sure this will be no Forza/Grand Turismo beater! .... My advice to others, wait until after release and see what the feedback is or at the very least give it a rent if possible before handing over your cash.

Driveclub was inititally scheduled to release for PS4 launch day in Nov 2013, then got delayed to early 2014, then got delayed again, then got delayed indefinitely, then finally released Oct 2014, and still released broken/buggy. So a game being delayed does not mean it will not be broken/buggy on release. That is why it is looking a lot like Driveclub. Although difference being it is on all consoles including Wii U. If you are getting this or Driveclub probably just get this, and then have Driveclub free through PS+. I will probably get Project Cars on Wii U as the console is lacking these kind of games, and get Gran Turismo on PS4, and the Xbox ONE will be Forza.
