20 Million PS4's sold Worldwide as Project Morpheus prepares for early 2016 release

Shuhei Yoshida has revealed that PS4 now stands at 20.2 million units sold to consumers worldwide, making it the fastest selling console in PlayStation’s history.

In addition, it was also revealed that Project Morpheus will be released in the first half of 2016 and will be an improved device from the one detailed so far thanks to a new and improved 5.7 inch 1920 X RGB X 1080 resolution OLED display, helping to expand the field of view and enable low persistence, removing motion blur.

Other improvements include a 120hz refresh rate, which means games for Morpheus can be rendered at 120fps and when combined with the OLED display this will mean extra smooth and impressive visuals.

Latency has also been reduced to less than 18ms, while the device now also has more accurate tracking as Sony has added three LEDs to the headset - one on the front and two on the side -for a total of nine LEDs to support 360 degree tracking.

Finally the device has also been redesigned to make it more user friendly.

This looks like a much sleeker variant of the Oculus Rift, as with all VR try before you buy will be a must

Can see this not being supported by a lot of developers tbh. The machines are already being pushed to there limits how are they going to be able to incorporate this?
