Quantum Break release now scheduled for 2016

Remedy Entertainment's Quantum Break will now be released in 2016 for Xbox One.

In a blog post, the company announced that with so many games launching this year, moving Quantum Break to 2016 gives the studio more time to create a 'stand out experience' for fans.

“We thank our fans for their patience, and want them to know that the team is taking advantage of this opportunity to polish and fine tune the game to create the kind of standout entertainment experience they’ve come to expect from us”, said Sam Lake, Creative Director at Remedy.

Featuring Remedy’s highly acclaimed storytelling, Quantum Break is a fusion of a cinematic action game and a top-of-the-line live action show.

Of all the titles due for Xbox One, this is the one we expected to arrive next year, so this comes as no surprise really.

I am actually struggling to find anything to get excited for this year. Only major games this year Tomb Raider, Metal Gear, Witcher and Batman. I dont know where they get the "lots of games coming this year" from. 2014 the year of the delay seems to have been delayed into 2015.

Don't forget about Battlefront, a new FIFA, COD, Assassin's Creed (No doubt), Splatoon, Halo 5, Forza 6, No Man's Sky, Dead Island 2, Rainbow Six: Siege, Starfox, Street Fighter V, Tom Clancy's The Division, Until Dawn and no doubt others which are yet to be announced, especially from Sony who don't seem to have announced its late 2015 line up yet.

Thats true Joe but Forza, COD, FIFA and Assassins Creed are now annual franchises which loses a lot of appeal to me as they are just cranked out with no real care like Unity last year. Dead Island 2 seems a little redundant due to Dying light only just coming out. Battlefront will be big but reckon it will be delayed and not much interest to me as not a star wars fan.

Might be shorter to list the games that are coming out this year...

Yeah those big franchises are the one's that sell though. I still think Sony has quite a few to announce for later this year. No way are they going up against MS with just Tearaway.

To be fair to Sony though, they are spreading their exclusives out a bit. The Order 1886, Bloodborne and Until Dawn will release/released in the first half of the year. What about the second half? We'll find out soon I reckon, maybe find out before E3. Who knows.

With no Zelda there isn't really any must play games coming out this year. (for me) Bar Xenoblade. I would be interested in the new Tales but it looks like that might come to PC
