F1 2015 dated for June 12

Codemasters' F1 2015 will be released on June 12.

The 2015 grid as it lined up in Melbourne will be on the disc, with an update in the near future introducing the Manor F1 team. The 2014 grid in its entirety will also feature.

Codemasters' F1 2015 is the studio's debut on the current generation of consoles and will be aiming for 60fps on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with Sony's console getting the 1080p treatment while Microsoft's gets 900p.

"On console we've had it very, very close to 60fps, certainly on PS4," said F1 2015's game designer Steven Embling to Eurogamer. "Everyone at the studio is doing a fantastic with the optimisation, and we're in the final couple of months before release where there's a big push that we hit that 60fps, and that's the plan."

Codemasters has built everything from the ground up for F1 2015 as it wanted to harness the power of the new consoles.
