The Witcher 3 frame rate issues already addressed; Fix will come via day one patch

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt got some reviews yesterday and while the overall majority seemed very positive about the title, most agreed that the game suffered from some framerate issues on PS4 (which was the format reviews tested out). Thankfully then, a day one patch will address this issue, which means you'll never notice.

"Yes. We've already addressed this issue," community coordinator Marcin Momot said when asked of the problem via twitter, adding, "framerate will be better once we officially launch the game."

It just goes to show, it's not always wise to review a game these days before the day one patch hits.

The Witcher 3 launches on PS4, Xbox One and PC on Tuesday, May 19 and you can pre-order below.

changed comment - read that some reviews did mention it - strage though how this got top marks yet something like AC unity that had similar issues got bad scores even through they also tried to fix it - guess the real reviews will come once it is out and the patch is there

I don't think you can compare frame rate issues of the witcher with Unity which was fundamentally broken and required a number of patches to get anywhere near playable. The concerns for Unity were clear from the start.

I didn't experience much issue with AC:Unity. In a game as big as this there is bound to be the odd issue that needs ironing out in a patch or two.

Hope they fix the combat next, because so far the game is looking every bit as dull as Witcher 2 on that front.
