New PS4 Models outed; One comes with 1TB drive

Two new PS4 models have been outed.

The models are CUH-1215A and CUH-1215B, with the latter including a 1TB hard drive. It appears that there will be no cosmetic changes, however the innards have been slightly altered on both units, with the power supply dropping to 230 W and 2.3-0.95 A. Both lower than the current models.

Here's the certification PDF.

dunno why they bother doing this - unless its the same price as the 500gb versions now - with PS4 changing the HD is really easy and quite cheap. i've got a 2tb in mine now becuase 1tb wasn't big enough and I was fed up deleting games all the time to install new ones

Turnip Lord which 2tb did you use as I read there wasn't a 2tb slim enough to fit as they were like an extra 4-5 mm so I opted for the trusty Wd 1TB I've been using since the launch PS3

I bought a Seagate backup plus portable drive USB 3.0 external drive. Popped the case open - took out the 2tb drive and put my 1tb that was in my PS4 and popped that in the Seagate case. Now I have the 1tb as an external on my PC and the 2tb in my ps4. I think 2tb are fairly new in the 2.5" style - can't get more than that though. The drive cost me about £65 I think

This is the one I have -0 in red - but I think other colours are cheaper: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Seagate-Backup-Portable-External-Drive/dp/B00G7LQC7Q/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1433325722&sr=8-8&keywords=seagate+portable+plus -- you, if you get one, youtube how to remove the case, no screws so you have ot pop the case open, the guide online shows you exactly how to do it - took me about 5-10 mins to get it open

ah cool, thanks man, i didn't think about doing that. I usually just buy the drives seperate (out of the case) but I may have to give this a go as I just stocked up on some releases, about 9... and have 4gb free lol.
