The Witcher 3 has no level cap

If you're enjoying The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, then you may be pleased to know that you'll be able to continue levelling up Geralt without any limit.

As you can see above, a member of the development team has confirmed that there is no level cap for Geralt. So happy hunting.

really? i thought 70 was the highest if you do everything and 100 is in teh code for the dlc. I'm on 26 and finding it hard getting to 27 so i can wear my master armour!

The NPCs and creatures will probably have set levels, and the weapons are aimed for them. I was playing Dragon Age Inqusition last night and I came across a bear that took 1 hour to kill, I was in water and the bear did not seem want to enter, so I kept shooting it, the bear must have been a lot higher level, and my weapon was only shaving 1-2 damage each time, so my weapon must have been real low for the bear. The level of Gerault will probably just determine his strength and power, and later levels will get extremely slow to level up, and probably get to a point that he may only level after you played solidly for a week without sleep! Then even slower again!

This is absolutely excellent news, nothing annoys me more than reaching close to the end of a game and suddenly I'm not progressing

To add to that, the game I was directly referencing was Kingdoms of Amalur, loved the game, the level cap ruined it...
