E3 2015 Chat: June 16

It's Tuesday, so is everyone having a good day so far?

E3 was last night of course and this morning for those of us who stayed awake.

So what did you think? Which company has had the strongest conference so far and what have you been impressed with overall?

Let's Chat!

I thought that e3 as a whole has been very lackluster. Personalky think its a terrible time to be interested in gaming. Welp looks like I'll be playing CS for the foreseeable.

Currently half way through Sonys E3 and so far it's been pretty boring, Only exclusive that I've seen of interest to me is Until Dawn, I know they'll be showing Uncharted Collection soon but so far it's pretty shit for exclusives, Of course I'll be buying most the 3rd party games on the PS4 instead of the Xbox One. As for the Xbox One there's only 3 exclusives that I'm interested in Halo 5 (for the MP), Tomb Raider and Gears of War (again for the MP), Surprising to me I've pretty much lost all interest in Call of Duty Black Ops 3 and even Zombies because there's just so many other bigger and better games to play that I don't think I need to buy it.

Looking forward to see what nintendo have to show us later today and I think Microsoft had a good e3 for the first time in a few years, backwards compatibility is a massive step forward and that holo lens looked fantastic, Sony had the ff VII remake, shenmue and sf5. Glad I kept hold of all my 360 games :)

There's still loads of games I'm looking forward to but I thought E3 overall ( Microsoft's and Sony's show ) was "meh" at best. Microsoft and backwards compatibility is over a year late in my opinion. The new games shown, looked interesting but nothing wowed me. Same with Sony, Last Guardian looks stunning but for me nothing else stood out. I think Sony's biggest problem is a lot of the big titles are too far off, 2016, some saying the likes of Uncharted might get pushed back to 2017 in which case Sony have a problem I think. Looking forward to seeing what Nintendo show.

Just been catching up on some trailers. No Man's Sky still looks epic and I can't wait to dive in. Hopefully, it'll keep luring me back like Destiny (which the new trailer for DLC looked very cool), with something new every time I play. Horizon looks pretty cool, too. As for the FF7 Remake, not so sure on a sequel but it's probably the best way to feed people's nostalgia without ruining the legacy of the original game. Very excited for it, though!

All conferences bar EA have been pretty top so far for me. Horizon and Recore looking class too. Good news about PS4 media player too and XB getting BC.

Microsoft gameplay videos seem to pick the most boring parts to show Gears, Halo and Tomb Raider just seemed to show walking around then actions scenes like Uncharted. No idea why backwards compatability got so much excitement seems 2 years to late for me. South Park and Final Fantasy VII remake are the big ones for me just hope Square Enix dont mess it up.

If you own a 360 with digital and physical purchases, it's never too late. If you got rid of them then it's a pain. But better than what PSNow is offering.

I agree its better then Sonys PS Now but 2 years into a new console cycle why do you want to play last gen games? With most big games getting HD remasters for the new consoles.

I am just so happy Last Guardian is finally coming... I just know its gonna have an upsetting ending as well. 8 haven't got an Xboxone but I am very interested in gears of war and i know its late but backwards compatibility is a bonus feature. I never did get Alan wake... I can see myself getting one early next year. Wonder what Nintendo has coming up ?

If Sony offered this and gave me my digital games in BC (that plus collection) I could get rid of my PS4 and be haply to play any older gen game I wanted. It is late, but better late than never.

Mind you I had the original ps3 that could play ps2 games and I think I only played about 4 titles before sticking to ps3 games only so BC is a bit late really.

If it means I have around another 300 games to play on my xbone Then 1. I need another hdd 2. I spent way too much money in last ten years on gaming 3. Jesus 300x 40 is like 12 grand I could've bought a bloody car for that 4. I blame my mum and dad for buying me that Atari 2600 junior when I was like 4.... Centipede lol

The exciting thing about the Backwards compatability is, once it goes live, all the XBLA games you bought on 360 (so indies, or full on 360 games) they all become avaliable for download, plus all the originals. This is pretty big. No more Lack of content on the console - however, they are shooting themself in the foot - why would someone pay 30-40 quid for a remaster when they can play the original for about 5 quid (same game, just better graphics)?

Ubi has had the best presentation so far, excited about most of their games. Sony showed a lot of multiplatforms but with Son exclusive ocntent - plus COD fanboys aren't gonna be happy that sony now have COD timed exclusives. FF 7 remake was a surprise, I thought it was gonna be a movie the was it was presented, but that is one to look out for and no mans sky looks very big - guessing its an olways online game seeing as he said you can stumble upon other peoples worlds

Seems the new expansion pack for Destiny requires 40GB of space! And whilst there are pre-order bonuses, not available for UK pre-order yet -_- http://www.destinythegame.com/taken-king/wheretobuy?bundle=digital

just about to comment on destiny - its a rip off! you can preorder but it has rules. you can ONLY buy the taken king if you OWN the season pass on Destiny. If you don't you have to buy it for £80 to get it with the season pass. So they are basically saying you can't have the add on without owning all the previous content wether you want it or not - that is a rip off, should do a news bit on this to get peoples thoughts!

sorry, you get destiny as well: Digital Collector’s Edition Includes: • The Taken King • Destiny • Expansion I: The Dark Below • Expansion II: House of Wolves • Digital Content: 3 Exotic Guardian Class items with XP bonuses, 3 class-specific emotes, and 3 armor shaders.

Do you need the season pass, or the previous two expansion packs? I kind of understand why you could be required to have the previous expansion packs *if* this new piece specifically builds on them. But it does seem unusually cruel to say "You can only buy this if you buy the others first."

but if you try and buy the non-=deluxe version it says under tell me more "sorry you cannot purchase this as you do not own the season pass"

and its only showing 17.4 GB for all the deluxe stuff - Destiny + expansions + taken king

Just found on PSN and pre-ordered. £40 seems a bit steep when in the US it works out at £25

doesn't show me the price as I only had the retail of Destiny and no expansions. £40 is a lot! for 80 you get Destiny, both Expansions and the new expansion. which is the 'best value' if you are new to destiny?!! otherwise you have to buy the 35 quid expansion and the 40 quid new expansion if you own the game but no DLC. They are milking this IP now arent' they!

sorry, 75 for the deluxe

It should cost more to buy them all individually, and there should be price cuts for bundles of all of them. That said, if you've already got the game, it shouldn't cost considerably more to get all the exisiting DLC and the new one, imho.
