Batgirl story content out today *update*

Update 2: This is just a little reminder to let you know that the Batgirl DLC for batman Arkham Knight is out today.

Update 1: Warner has now released a trailer for the new Batgirl DLC. You can watch it below.

"When The Joker kidnaps Commissioner Gordon and holds him hostage at the Seagate Amusement Park, Batgirl and Robin must fight against the odds to save him and avoid falling victim to The Joker's sinister plan. Trained by Batman, Batgirl's combat combines with unparalleled hacking abilities to take down enemies, control objects and solve puzzles."

The DLC is 14th July for Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass owners, everyone else 21st July for £5.79.

Update: We have today learned more details about the upcoming Batgirl DLC for Arkham Knight.

The add-on takes place prior to the events of Arkham Asylum and will be set in a theme park called the Seagate Amusement Park, where Batgirl is trying to save Commissioner Gordon from the Joker. The park is built on an oil rig and Joker has it rigged to explode.

“We wanted to recreate the feeling of being trapped in a bizarre and unique open environment playing a game of cat and mouse with the Joker,” says Justin Vazquez, design producer of the DLC. “Our intention was that Batgirl should be less powerful than Batman, but that Batgirl plus hacking could give her opportunities do things that not even Batman can pull off.”

Batgirl: A Matter of Family is out July 14 for season pass holders, and July 21 for everyone else.

Original: Warner Bros today announced the first story driven add-on for Batman: Arkham Knight – Batgirl: A Matter of Family.

Set prior to the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batgirl: A Matter of Family will allow players to take on the role of Batgirl for the first time in the Batman: Arkham franchise. This exciting story add-on features an all-new location with multiple missions, side quests and secrets; a new hacking feature to progress through the world and solve puzzles; and Dual Play functionality with Robin for dynamic take-down manoeuvres.

Batgirl: A Matter of Family will be available 14th July for fans who have purchased the Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass and are connected to the Internet, or it can be purchased separately on 21st July for £5.79 on the PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE.

Dunno if I'll bother, the price of the season pass is a real kick in the teeth to fans who want to support the company to the potential... I'll likely pick it all up when it's 80% off or something
