Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition announced

Mojang has announced Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition, which will launch in beta form alongside the launch of Windows 10.

If you already own Minecraft on PC then the game will be free, otherwise it'll set you back around £6.50.

Minecraft: Windows 10 edition will offer online and local multiplayer with anyone playing on Minecraft: Pocket Edition, as well as controller, touch and keyboard control options. There will also be support for up to eight player co-op via local play or Xbox Live.

It seems that the Minecraft bandwagon is continuing to wheel along, with no sign of it stopping anytime soon.

so this is basically just an updated Minecraft they are only allowing win 10 users to get? £6.50 seems cheap through - isn't minecraft on pc about 15 quid (officially) at the moment? I got mine about 4.5 years ago whilst it was in beta
