Dead Island 2 publisher Deep Silver has dropped the game's developer Yager, begging the question as to what the current state of the game is like.
“With Dead Island 2, Deep Silver has always been dedicated to delivering the sequel that Dead Island fans deserve. After careful consideration, today we announce the decision to part ways with development partner YAGER,” the publisher said in a statement.
“We will continue working towards bringing our vision of Dead Island 2 to life, and we will share further information at a later stage.”
Dead Island 2 is currently scheduled for a 2016 release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, although with a new developer to be found, it may not reach us until a later date.
