Sony has shipped 25.3 million PS4 consoles since launch

Sony has revealed that it has shipped 25.3 million PlayStation 4 consoles worldwide since the launch of the console in November 2013.

The period April-June 2015 saw 3 million consoles shipped, which is actually up 11% on the 2.7m shipped in the same period last year.

Sony has now increased its projections for the year end as a result, from 16 million to 16.5 million.

Microsoft announced last week that is shipped 1.4m combined Xbox One/Xbox 360 units in the last quarter, which is less than 50% per cent of the number of PS4s shipped alone.

Sony shipped more PS4s last quarter than every other console on the market combined did. Clear cut case of total domination.

Good to see the Ps4 doing well. I still may get an xbone as well but now tomb raider confirmed for ps4 in 2016 I am not so sure as I am more than satisfied with the ps4 and Wii u offerings for now although Nintendo's console only has one more exclusive out this year that interests me (mario maker) so the ps4/3 dominate most of my game time.
