New Star Wars: Battlefront mode being revealed today *update*

Update: Star Wars Battlefront developer DICE has detailed its upcoming Blast Mode.

The new mode will see 10 vs 10 players take each other on in a team-based competitive mode. The game ends when either a team reaches 100 kills, or the 10-minute time-limit expires.

"Say you've just played Walker Assault mode on Hoth and then switched to Blast, still on Hoth. Thanks to variations in lighting and time of day, you'll definitely see a difference," Lead level designer Dennis Brännvall said of the differences which have been made to maps to suit each game mode.

He also said that Blast Mode maps will be smaller and encourage more close-quarters combat compared to some other game modes. This means there will not be vehicles, heroes or villains, although there will be plenty of pick-ups.

"Whether you pick up a Droid scanning for nearby enemies or a turret that'll control a zone for you, the pickups can really turn the tide of a Blast match," Brännvall added. "They are not around every corner though, so keep your eyes peeled."

Star Wars Battlefront is due 17th November on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Original: EA is revealing a new Star Wars Battlefront game mode today, according to the game's official twitter account.

No specific information was revealed, although the teasing saying that the reveal will be "a blast," is probably hinting at something.

Would anyone like to guess?

so.... they are adding a deathmatch mode? 10v10 in a small room with a time limit and score limit - so deathmatch.
