Final Fantasy VII arrives on iOS

A mobile edition of Final Fantasy VII is now available for iOS devices for £11.99.

The 11 million selling title, has always been popular amongst fans of the series, with many citing it as the best game with the Final Fantasy name. It's so popular that it has forced Square Enix into making a remake exclusively for PS4, although it may be a while before we see that one.

In the meantime you can relive Final Fantasy in the mobile edition.

Here's the launch trailer.

going to download this later but looks like it has 'cheats' in it - like the pc - you can instantly bump everyone to lv 99 with max stats, which is stupid, and you can turn off random encounters! why would they allow you to do that?

Cant see me playing this on my iphone and this is my favourite game of all time. So will pass. The Final Fantasy Portal App is up and there is a triple triad game on there the card game from Final Fantasy VIII used to be the only thing I did in FF VIII

They allow you to cheat and turn off random battles for the same reason the remake is not going to be the traditional ATB, because devs can't help but try to 'fix' the working clock. The game is a masterpiece the way it is, only thing dated is the graphics

Don't think its anything to do with unable to fix something - they option was in the pc version as well, they are basically making it easier - but that takes you away from its charm. Tried out this version on my jb ipad - pretty much a ps emulated version tbh, didn't like it - just gonna pick it up on ps4 next month where it will hopefully be a cross buy
