The Sims get personal in The Sims 3: Generations

Assistant Producer Ryan Vaughan explained to Gamespot that the latest expansion pack for The Sims 3 will bring “the most fulfilling and rich life experience” to your Sims and how this will help to create a deeper gameplay experience for gamers.

Vaughan told Gamespot that “The Sims 3: Generations is all about creating more interesting life stories”

“The Sims 3 base game allowed us to take a Sim from their birth to their death, but The Sims 3 Generations adds tons of new age-specific content and features” the producer claimed

Whilst watching your Sims grow up is nothing new, age specific content will be a fresh and welcome addition to the game, letting your character carve their personality in a new level of detail with content and features that will be out of reach for other generations.

When asked to give an example of the scenarios different age groups will be involved in, Vaughan went into some more detail on each life stage and the possibilities the expansion will provide .

The producer explained that the Children’s lives will be “all about imagination and make believe” where as “for Teens, it’s about those moody, rebellious years you face as you grow up”

“Children can play with their imaginary friend, dress-up as a princess or even a dinosaur”

You can read the full interview on Gamespot and some of Vaughan’s answers suggest that The Sims 3: Generations will be one of the most game changing expansions The Sims has ever seen, providing a whole new aspect of gameplay.

The Sims 3: Generations is due to release on June 3 for PC and Mac. You can order your copy here.
