Destiny: The Taken King has become the most downloaded day-one game in PlayStation history

Destiny: The Taken King has become the most downloaded day-one game in PlayStation history, according to Activision.

“Destiny: The Taken King is officially the most downloaded game on day-one in PlayStation history and set a new benchmark for both total Destiny players and peak online concurrency on day-one, so it’s safe to say the Destiny franchise continues to gain momentum,” said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing.

“Along with our talented partners at Bungie, we cannot wait to watch the community continue to grow and tackle the King’s Fall Raid kicking off on Friday.”

Destiny: The Taken King was released on Tuesday and is available for PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

yeah - but everyone who had it pre-ordered online (bought and got to play the original straight away) had it auto download on day one. I don't like these PR statements they release. It just means everyone who pre-ordered it got it on day 1 and I would imagine most people who own Destiny would have ordered it to avoid missing out on content which their mates get.

had another bash at the taken king last night (just happened to be on one of my accounts I was given by a mate) and starts off okay but can't really get into it - think I've been away from it too long so I can't see the attraction to it anymore.

The main campaign only last around 4 hours :/ but what iv seen a lot of people saying is that if you don't buy the DLC your basically left with almost nothing to do on destiny which is very harsh

Also - everyone HAD t download it - there was no choice if you own destiny - is the statement people who bought it or people who downloaded? if just downloaded then that's crap cos there was no way not too unless you deleted it
