Rise of the Tomb Raider will take around 15-20 hours to complete

Rise of the Tomb Raider's story will take players around 15-20 hours to finish, although you will need to set aside 30-40 hours to complete the game 100%.

"It all comes down to how you want to play through the game," lead designer Mike Brinker told Pixelvulture.com.

"Expect to spend around 30-40 hours getting everything done. This is gathering every weapon, ability and completing every side quest. Running through the game will take you around 15 - 20 hours. So expect double the play time collecting everything and exploring every secret tomb."

Rise of the Tomb Raider is said to be three times larger than the previous game, as well as including plenty of tombs to explore.

"In terms of scale, all our hub spaces, the areas that allow you to explore and choose your own way to play, have been increased by three time the size," Brinkler continued. "So there will be lots more to see and do in each area of the game too. We have more challenge tombs, crypts, caves, and a bunch of extra things to do like the side missions for the Remnant people, and the tomb guardians."

Rise of the Tomb Raider arrives on Xbox One and Xbox 360 on November 13. The PS4 and PC versions are due to follow in 2016.

Really looking forward to playing this and as much as it will annoy me not to play it on launch on the Xbox One, I will simply wait for it to release on PC quite simply because there releasing it on PC which means it'll be much cheaper, have higher resolution, higher framerate and overall look and play much better then it would on the Xbox One. Now if it was truly an Xbox One exclusive then I would buy it on for Xbox One but its not, Its just another stupid timed exclusive.

Long wait for Ps4 version for me unless I add an Xbone to my Tv Unit. Still on the fence whether to invest in one as only about 4 exclusives I am interested in. If I don't I am in no rush too much to get through as it is.

when companies say 30-40 hours isn't this usually about double the actual time it will take? I know witcher lasted about the length they said - as did until dawn but most others never last the length the devs state - unless it has a load of filler put there to extend the time
