Star Wars Battlefront won't have dedicated party chat

EA has confirmed that Battlefront won't make use of a dedicated chat system on any platform, although that won't stop you chatting to friends if you really want to.

"You can choose your favourite third party software to communicate with friends on PC," said EA on twitter, while on console, "Battlefront will utilise the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One built-in party system for in-game chat."

Some don't seem too impressed with this news, while other, more veteran Battlefield players says that voice chat isn't used all that much anyway.

What do you think? Is this really a big deal?

Star Wars Battlefront launches on PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 19 and you can order below.

I mostly use party chat when playing as I play with friends/clan mates. However the majority of the people I game with now I met through speaking to on ingame chats in other games. Seems like the whole social side of this game is being disregarded. Very poor.
