Sony Paris Press Conference 2015 - As it happened

The Sony Paris Games conference kicked off in style as it usually does with a flashy on-screen presentation of the game coming to and currently on PS4.

Battlefront and Call of Duty: Black Ops III also got a mention, since they have exclusive content or timed exclusive at least. Sony then showed off the Zombies Mode trailer for Black Ops III.

A trailer for Battlefront was next to be shown, with jet packs, Leigh and all manner of Star Wars based action. We are so excited for this one. The Star Wars console was also mentioned, which you can order now from ShopTo.

Yoshi Ono came on stage to tell us about Street Fighter V next, although we already reported on the February 16, 2016 release date and the new characters we can expect to see. We did learn something new though, in that Harada is a new character announced for the game, we think.

In any case, Harada stayed on the stage to announce that Tekken 7 is coming to PS4 and it will be the most complete and enhanced version to date. There is also special content in the works which is exclusive to PlayStation.

Another new trailer was shown next, this time for Battleborn, which certainly looks like it could be interesting. The beta will arrive first on PS4 next year.

Another three titles where shown next, all exclusive to PS4 in 2016. First up was Boundless.

Followed by Avicii Vector.

And last but not least, No Man's Sky, which still looks absolutely fantastic and as mentioned, is coming in June 2016.

Michael Denny was next on stage to show us Sony's very own games, starting with Housemarque, which is working on a sci-fi style title called Matterfall.

Check out the trailer below.

Sony didn't let us and Ratchet & Clank was shown next, looking absolutely stunning as you would expect.

Want more? Well how about some Horizon: Zero Dawn? The combat is all about knowing your enemies and the environments. The main character was shown making use of this to fire a trip wire and set a trap for the robotic dinosaurs. Crafting is also a major part of the game as are rather large dinos and thanks to a pause in the game, we got to see all around it, getting an idea of its strengths and weaknesses.

Horizon arrives in 2016.

Next shown was the latest Bloodborne expansion, which we already know about.

This was followed by DriveClub Bikes, which again, we told you about earlier today thanks to a leak from PEGI. It brings the world of superbikes into the game, along with a new campaign as a standlone expansion or as DLC. It'll release tonight.

Gravity Rush 2 was next on stage and it has a new combat system. Lunar and Jupiter style moves give a new dynamic to the game as you'll see in the trailer below. We're still loving the art style of this one. Of course the original title is one of the Vita's best and is being remastered for PS4, so we can't wait to see what both the original and the sequel feel like when played on PS4.

Uncharted 4 was dated for March 18, 2016 earlier this year, but we at least got a look at the new multiplayer section of the game, which includes sidekicks and plenty of rather exciting looking action.

You'll be able to:

- Take advantage of unique maps with rich environments that reward exploration, strategy and team work and immerse yourself in a multiplayer experience that celebrates the very best of the Uncharted franchise.

- Hire one of four “Sidekicks” to fight alongside you and they’ll provide support by tracking your enemies, reviving fallen allies or unleashing heavy offensive firepower.

- Purchase a “Mystical” item and summon supernatural perks inspired by Drake’s previous adventures. Call on El Dorado’s cursed sarcophagus, Shambala’s powerful Chintamani Stone or the lost city of Ubar’s fiery Djinn to help turn the tide of battle.

We look forward to it.

Dreams was next to be shown, although it's still in alpha, so the gameplay wasn't quite in a finished state, although it still looked pretty incredible. During the game you have an imp who accompanies you to manipulate the environment and explore the characters and the world.

You Imp can possess characters and vehicles in order to explore the Dream and then, if the owner allows you to change the Dream, you can move it around and change it as much as you like, although some owners may not let you do this, so you'll need to explore.

Shuhei Yoshida was next on stage to talk about PlayStation VR. The headset and eight games are playable on the showfloor at Paris Games Week.

Although it's hard to show how the games play in a trailer, Sony did show off Rigs, a multiplayer titles for PS VR which looks like a mixture of Wipeout, Football and On-Foot combat. Again, it'd be hard to tell just how just how this one plays without experiencing it, but it looks interesting.

Another new title was also announced for the PlayStation VR, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, which Yoshida says is a rollercoaster with a twist.

Crytek also came on stage to talk all about their title, Robinson: The Journey and it looks very interesting.

The trailer shows different games, such as not getting squashed with dinosaurs, although who knows what else will happen within the title. Catch the first glimpse below.

Battlezone from Rebellion was shown next and will be coming first to PlayStation VR.

The Walk was also shown, coming from Sony Pictures, you can look up, down and around to capture the whole environment, although try not to fall when walking that tightrope.

Yoshida says that over 200 developers are working on titles for PlayStation VR, before signing off with a montage trailer.

We also found out that Tekken 7 is coming to PlayStation VR.

Gran Turismo Sport is coming to PlayStation 4.

Building on its legacy as the most realistic and accessible driving simulator, GT Sport has partnered with the FIA to push the boundaries of racing games. In addition to everything you'd expect from a GT, the team at Polyphony and the FIA are introducing an online racing series that will be recognised alongside real world motor racing by the FIA.

Entering BETA in 2016 GT Sport is being developed by Polyphony Digital.

Michel Ancel was next on stage to show off Wild, a new title from his small studio. You can see a walkthrough and therefore more information on the game below.

David Cage was next on stage to talk about Kara, the character who we saw a demo of some time back. The new game asks what does it mean to be human and it'll take place in Detroit.

As mentioned, the game is about Kara, a robot who goes outside to explore the city of Detroit: Become Human and how she doesn't necessarily like what she sees.

It looks interesting to say the least.

Wasn't impressed at all - 2 things here that weren't leaked - GT Sport and the new Quantic Dreams game - everything else was already known or didn't event have gameplay, just a pre-rendered trailer. Only things I liked the look of were Wild and the Giant robot dinosaurs games

I thought they would have announced the FF7 pc -> PS4 release as it should have come out a while ago. Ah well. VR looks like an expensive gimmick, especially if you don't have the camera and need to buy 2 of those hand controllers as well. Plus, Tekken 7 in VR? how? will it be like the 2D games in VR the Oculus shown off at E3 where they are literally just in 3D, VR is supposed to be from the characters eyes - not just 3D. Who knows - maybe they will do a Streetfighter 3DS because that worked out really well.....

PlayStation Experience is just over a month away, Sony is keeping some big guns for that. Not a bad show though.

ahh, okay - just really wanted them to say "and from now you can download FF7 on the PS4" :( It was better than some events, but nothing really jumped out as being awesome - maybe i was just expecting too much :)

Glad No Mans Sky finally got a release date, this looks fantastic. Also great that they finally announced a new Grand Turismo but with Sony's track record with releases for this title, we be lucky to see it in 2017. Nothing else really stood out for me, in fact a bit disappointed but I guess there's always the next show, but I said that after the last show :/
