"From a luxurious mansion to the medieval church situated by the beach and the cramped alleys littered with stores, Sapienza is a dense location full of challenges and packed with opportunities and stories for the enterprising player to unfold," Square Enix says.
Sapienza is the second map to be revealed for the game, with a third to be revealed before the game's launch.
Thailand, the USA and Japan will also be added to the game each month after launch.
If you buy the full game you'll get all the maps, including those coming after launch, otherwise you can purchase the digital Hitman Intro Pack and then upgrade for an additional cost. It's all a little confusing, but there will be a retail release, so you could always go for that.
Hitman launches on PS4, Xbox One and PC on March 11, 2016.
