Konami has revealed that it shipped 5 million copies of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, including digital downloads, during the first half of its 2016 Financial year.
The game was released on September 1, which means that the game reached this milestone during its first month on sale.
The Phantom Pain was released on PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, and Xbox One is said to have made more money than Avengers: Age of Ultron on its launch day.
