EA has big plans for Star Wars

EA CFO Blake Jorgensen has confirmed that there will likely be more than one Star Wars Battlefront before EA's license deal with the Star Wars Franchise runs out.

Speaking at the UBS Global Technology Conference in San Francisco , Jorgensen said, "It’s a big effort for us, and I don’t think there’s a human being in the world who hasn’t heard of the Star Wars movie coming. And so, [it’s a] great opportunity.

“We struck a licensing deal with Disney a few years back that’s almost ten years in length. The game that comes out tomorrow, Star Wars Battlefront, is a traditional first-person style shooter game. Our goal is to make future Battlefront games as well as other style games around the Star Wars franchise, both on mobile as well as console and PC. It’s a huge opportunity for us"

The licensing deal which was signed by EA includes access to past and future content from the series, so EA only needs use its imagination when coming up with new titles.

Star Wars Battlefront is out tomorrow for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. What type of game would you like to see? We're still holding out for a return of X-Wing or maybe the rebirth of Star Wars 1313.

well, there is those 4 games you get with the new console - are they being re-released under EA? SW Racer was amazing when it first came out for the N64 with the Ram Pack.

Meh, Not expecting much to be honest, There has been enough time for developers to create a good game with this enormous IP but nadda. I expect a few mobile games and Battlefront 2 and that's it. They could make a great RPG and make something different from what they usually make. At least put space battles in Battlefront 2. Rant over
