The Rainbow Six Beta goes live at 5PM today

Udpate 2: The Rainbow Six Siege beta will go live to all players at 5pm GMT today.

Update 1: The Rainbow Six Beta has been delayed.

According to a post on the Ubisoft forums, the developer is, “postponing the open beta until a later time and keeping the game under closed beta status." due to issues with matchmaking times and disconnections on all platforms.

“We apologize for the delay, continues the post, "and can assure you this is our top priority. We will keep everyone updated regularly as we continue to deploy improvements.”

Update: The Rainbow Six Siege Beta will go live at 3pm today. We've already downloaded the beta, but if you haven't then make sure you do in advance if you can as it is a 8.7GB download.

Original: The beta for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six is available now on the PS Store and although the beta won't got live until November 25, the listing gives us an idea of the download size and also a chance to get it onto our hard drive ahead of time.

Looking at the store listing (German Store), we can see that the download is 7.8GB in size and features multiplayer PVP and PVE, 14 operators and 3 maps, although when we downloaded it ourselves it stated that it was a 8.7GB file. You can download to your PSN Account using the link above.

Are you excited for the Rainbow Six Beta?

Wasn't too impressed with the last Beta on it - its a game where you need to be constantly talking to the team and you all have to work together - if you mess up then its almost one shot dead and you don't re-spawn. So the community of this is going to be like L4D and Payday 2 - terrible - because after a while they wont wanna play with new people.

Played it last night, beta people got in day early to this one. Still same issues for me, you need everyone working together :(

Iv just played a few games and it seems pretty good and can get real tense but with the lack of game modes etc not sure it will be worth paying over £25 for could get repetitive real quick too
