Disney isn't throwing away the idea of Star Wars 1313 just yet, with LucasFilm boss Kathleen Kennedy telling Slash Film that it's an area that it is looking into.
Kennedy was discussing canned Star Wars TV series Star Wars: Underworld when the subject came up and when asked if it had all been cancelled, she said:
“No. No, interestingly enough, that’s an area we’ve spent a lot of time, reading through the material that he developed is something we very much would like to explore.
“[The art was] unbelievable. So our attitude is, we don’t want to throw any of that stuff away. It’s gold. And it’s something we’re spending a lot of time looking at, pouring through, discussing, and we may very well develop those things further. We definitely want to.”
Star Wars 1313 was unveiled way back in June 2012, however after Disney’s acquisition of LucasFilm and closure of LucasArts the game was pretty much forgotten about.
Would you like to see it make a comeback and eventually release? If it was to, we'd imagine a lot more work would need to be done, after all it's been over three years and technology moves on quickly.
